The Adventures of Raggedy Ann and Andy stamp

Many people know of the beloved rag doll brother/sister duo Raggedy Ann and Andy. Those same people may also know of their animated incarnations in the 1977 movie Raggedy Ann and Andy: A Musical Adventure, in addition to other animated appearances in various shorts.

But what many people don't know is that from 1988-1990, these beloved rag dolls were the stars of their own cartoon series running on CBS; The Adventures of Raggedy Ann and Andy. The premise of this show was simply Ann and Andy and their toy friends coming to life when their owner Marcella is absent and embarking on all sorts of adventures, ranging from saving unicorns in the Old West to hunting for pirate treasure.

This show was kinda cheesy considering the time period it came out in, but was also unique from most other cartoons at the time in that it focused more on the adventures than on forcing an obligatory moral down your throat (except maybe for the "The Little Chicken Adventure" episode). And I appreciate it for that

This was a great favorite of mine, even if I stumbled upon it long after it had stopped airing, and it never ceases to send a wave of nostalgia over me whenever I watch the intro. If anybody else out there remembers this series, let me know in the comments please.
